Featuring advance HD home entertainment technology and high quality components, the new players work in tandem with Pioneer’s KURO displays and A/V receivers to provide film enthusiasts the most true-to-life reproduction of HD feature films.

Cinematic Picture Quality
Pioneer brings film aficionados to the frontier of next generation entertainment with the most cutting edge video processing available. With Motion Adaptive IP Conversion and Triple High Definition Noise Reduction Circuits, Pioneer’s new players offer smooth performance of film based Blu-ray Disc movies - ensuring highest picture quality with reduced noise. Pioneer has also continued to enhance high performance DVD playback in the new players with the inclusion of the proprietary and advanced PureCinema Deinterlacer, which essentially eliminates lines that can negatively affect the viewing experience. All three players support High-Bit Deep Color meaning the players deliver an unprecedented range of hues and shades resulting in pristine, realistic imagery that was not possible with previous generations. BDP-LX91 in particular, features Pioneer’s proprietary Adaptive Bit Length Expansion technology that restores Blu-ray Disc movies produced in 8-bit color back to the vivid 16-bit deep color gamut, resulting in an HD picture filled with hues and tones that replicates the cinematic intentions of the films’ creators.

The new players support all advanced audio formats, with the ability to decode Dolby® TrueHD and Dolby Digital Plus, DTS® HD and DTS HD Master** high resolution audio formats to deliver rich audio that completely immerses the listening audience.
This also means advanced connectivity that makes compatibility a minimal concern. Consumers will hear the subtle nuances and deep bass in their favorite films

Typically utilized by high end audio manufacturers and professional audio equipment, Pioneer selected the professional quality Wolfson Digital Audio Converters (DACs) in the new players to ensure the highest level audio performance that sound engineers intended audiences to experience.

The players also feature Precision Quartz Lock System (PQLS) which create jitter-free playback and dynamic sound quality for music CDs. When connected to the SC-LX71 or SC-LX81 Pioneer LX receivers via HDMI, this advanced feature synchronizes music data coming from the Blu-ray Disc player to the receiver, giving music fanatics a revolutionary high resolution listening experience far exceeding traditional methods.

Pioneer Home Theater Synergy
For the complete home theater package, Pioneer has purposefully created a synergy in appearance and operations between its new line of Blu-ray Disc players, A/V receivers and KURO plasmas. The KURO Link*** System, syncs the Blu-ray Disc player with the connected KURO plasma to allow for unified remote operation between products, allowing consumers to immerse themselves in stunning HD content.

Consumer Convenience

All players are BONUSVIEW™ compatible, giving users the option to overlay the discs’ special features onto the movie, utilizing picture-in-picture functionality. To take full advantage of the extra features becoming available on Blu-ray Discs, the BDP-LX91 also features BD-Live. The player is equipped with an Ethernet port that allows movie enthusiasts to connect to the Internet to download data such as subtitles, images and bonus trailers, synchronise viewing with other BD-Live players and join in live chat sessions, online gaming and video messaging when viewing BD-Live compatible titles.

Access the players’ many features with a newly redesigned GUI (Graphical User Interface) with A/V Codec information. This intuitive menu system is also shared across the new line of LX Receivers and KURO displays for easy set up and control.
